May Astrology Overview
May 2025 astrology shows an overall quieter month. The forecasts for each sign are on my YouTube. The personal planets have ended or are ending their post-retrograde cycles. We do have Saturn shifting into Aries for the first time in about 30 years and Jupiter moving to Cancer in June.
We are at the first complete month of Neptune in Aries. I have 3 videos on Neptune in Aries, discussing Neptune leaving Pisces, where he is the modern ruler, and arriving in Aries, where the energy quite different. The final video also goes through the sign by sign.
The next big move is in July when Uranus enters Gemini. Uranus will make aspects to Pluto and Neptune, all at the 1st degrees of their signs. This is one going to be historic, as we’ve not seen these planets in these signs for decades and even centuries.
Sun
The Sun moves to Gemini on the 20th, shifting from earth sign Taurus where we think about our wealth and resources, shares, property and food to air sign Gemini. We are more intellectually curious here, and the emphasis is on communication.
Moon
The Moon is full on the 12th at 22 degrees of Scorpio. The Full Moon is based in emotion, so it is good to avoid that time to make decisions. We may be tempted to go with how we feel, because emotions are running high, but that’s not always the best course of action. We can also overreact. Remember this energy is affecting everyone!
Then we have a New Moon on the 26th at 6 degrees of Gemini. The Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury will be there as well. Time to set an intention concerning communications and online presence. Something to do with writing , speaking, vlogging, for example. It can be learning a new language or technical skill, or creating a course to teach this. The 3rd house also relates to short trips and siblings. Maybe you want to plan a few week-end getaways for the summer.

Mercury
Mercury moves into Taurus on the 10th and then to Gemini on the 25th. The messenger of the zodiac is completely out of his retrograde cycle, so zipping along, never very far from the Sun. The Sun sheds lights and highlights a part of our chart for 1 month. Mercury turns our thoughts and ideas to these areas. Mercury is curious and likes to discover, learn and compare.
Venus
Venus is in Aries for the whole month of May, having arrived on April 30th. She lingers a little bit in post retrograde shadow until the 18th. I have a video on that and you can find it here.
Venus brings potential for romance wherever she is in our chart. In Aries she’s a little more brash and straightforward. Maybe more take charge and hands on (pun intended). Venus in Aries goes after what she wants.
Venus and Neptune will conjunct for the first week. This is Pollyanna energy. It’s all good and wonderful. Just beware when they pull apart and Venus sheds Neptune’s rose colored glasses!
Mars
Mars spends May in Leo, now completely out of retrograde cycle. Thankfully! He’s now back to his energetic, driven self. Use this energy in the part of your chart it falls in to really push ahead, get work done, make the ask. Mars makes you confident.
Saturn
Saturn takes his first steps in to Aries in 30 years, from May 25th to September 1st. He’ll retrograde back to Pisces and return for good in 2026. Saturn is stern and serious. His approach is rational and down to earth. Expect obstacles and hurdles to overcome courtesy of Saturn. There will be hard but rewarding work. Saturn wants us to build something solid and to master it.
