Additional layer of mark making on collage papers(book pages). This with homemade stamps. They’re an organic shape, but the repetition gives it a ‘manufactured’ vibe.I’m always looking for the balance.
🇫🇷 Une autre étape sur des papiers de collage (pages de livres). Ici des étampes en forme de feuilles et fleurs que j’ai fait moi-même. La forme est plus organique, mais en même temps la répétition donne une impression plus ‘manufacturé’. Je cherche toujours cette équilibre.

don’t really consider yourself a watercolour artist, if you’re an absolute beginner, this is an easy follow along, and the results are bright, beautiful flowers that pop.
But it’s also about trying something different. Not labelling ourselves and feeling we have to be just that 1 thing. We don’t have to excel. I am not going to be a watercolour artist. But I like to dabble.
🇫🇷 mon tout dernier vidéo est un petit projet simple de fleurs à l’aquarelle. Si vous êtes débutant, ou si, comme moi, vous ne vous considérez pas un artiste à l’Aquarelle, mais vous aimez bien en faire une fois de temps, en temps ceci est une façon simple de faire des belles fleurs vibrante et pleines de couleur. C’est surtout se donner la permission d’essayer quelque chose de nouveau. Pas besoin de devenir des professionnels ou de perfectionner, c’est le plaisir d’explorer.

Another layer on some #collagepapers made with book pages and leftover paint, pastels, India ink. Using my stencils here.
They don’t always look great. But that’s ok. It’s about different colours, marks. And maybe some more layers to come. I sort them by color then I pull out a bundle whenever I feel like it and depending on what color leftover paint I have lying around.
🇫🇷 papier de collage fait avec des pages de livres ayant une première couche de peinture. Ici je suis retourné cette fois-ci avec mes stencils. Ils ne sont pas tous beaux, mais c’est pas grave. L’important c’est d’avoir plusieurs couleurs, plusieurs sortes de marque et qui sait, il y aura probablement une autre étape ou deux. Je les classe par couleur, et je sors une liasse quand l’envie me prend.

Tried working with acrylic skins once, didn’t like it, and that was that. But in this painting, it just came about organically. A way of adding more interest and texture to the colour already there. It’s subtle from far, but it’s a break in pattern up close. Do you ever use acrylic skins? And do you make them or just use what’s there from leftover painting?
