December 2025 Astrology
Many apologies. The Mercury Retrograde got me again and my blog did not post as scheduled (it was for November 22nd, a week before the retrograde ended). I am learning that it needs a certain delay between scheduling and posting time.
January Astrology and a New YouTube Feature
January astrology will be up soon and on my Youtube channel. You can now help my channel by hyping (for free) my videos, if you enjoy the content and want to get the word out. It’s free and you don’t need to be a subscriber. Swipe along the tool bar where the ‘likes’ are, or swipe the comments preview. And just tap ‘hype’. Thank you!
December 2025? What? Seems like only a couple of months since I was posting January 2025 astrology. It’s the 25 that gets me. Born in the 60’s I’m starting to feel like a product of some bygone era! People born at the start of the new millennia are now in their mid-20s, slowly approaching their 1st Saturn return.
December sees a nice clustering of the Sun, Venus and Mars in Capricorn to end the year. This is strong and balanced energy in one area of your chart. December’s YouTube video goes through this sign by sign. Mercury, on retrograde, will be darting from Scorpio back to Sagittarius, still on a loop until December 17th.
Uranus and Neptune are in their previous signs, one last time, before being gone for good. Uranus for 84 years and Neptune 165. They’ll be near or on the last degree of Taurus and Pisces, respectively. The degree of change, of really sending the message home before leaving. I have videos on both on my channel. When they arrive in their new signs, it will be a very different manifestation of their energies. Uranus was a bit stifled in fixed earth Taurus, in Gemini it almost feels as if all bets are off. Neptune was at home in Pisces, a sign about compassion, intuition and the collective. Aries is single-minded and focused. It’s spirituality with an edge, my way or the highway type of vibe. Neptune in Aries can bring us a leader with a strong spiritual side, like the last time, in 1860, when Lincoln was President. Or we can see a false prophet, who has their own agenda. That’s the deception and illusion of Neptune.
Sun
The Sun is in Sagittarius until the 21st. We are gung-ho to learn, broaden our horizons, travel or take classes. This is changing perspective in a big way. We’re curious about other points of view and different life visions. What does it all mean? How does it fit into the bigger picture?
Then, with the Sun in Capricorn, we become hardworking, ploughing through setbacks or tedium. Capricorn is grounded in reality and plays the long game. “Just keep chipping away at it” as my mother used to say. When faced with a task that I didn’t feel like doing (cleaning my room), she would set the kitchen timer, usually for 10 minutes, and say “just do what you can, it’s only 10 minutes”. I usually got more done than I thought, and 10 minutes is not long. I still do this today.
Moon
The Moon is full on the 4th at 13 degrees of Gemini. The Sun, of course, is opposite in Sagittarius. There is an emotional peak around our communications, freedom to express, and ideas. As opposed to what is different and far away, in terms of distance and/or ideas, concepts and even people. Gemini is related to the 3rd house, our familiar day-to-day faces and places. Sagittarius is of the 9th house of what is foreign: far away travels, learning, religion, philosophy.
The New Moon is on the 19th at 28 degrees of Sagittarius. Moon now joins the Sun. There’s a feeling of approaching things in a new way that reflects a new outlook. Something in your mindset is shifting. And it is an excellent time to set an intention in this area. Individually this will also be in a specific house, so don’t forget to watch my December astrology. It will tell you where this is for each sign.
Mercury
Mercury stationed direct November 29th and now re-enters Sagittarius on the 11th. Despite being direct, the whole cycle does not end until December 17th. So avoid Mercury related activities like buying computers, cell phones, or other communication devices. Also purchasing ground transportation such as cars and bikes. Mercury also rules agreements, contracts and commerce. Wait to sign if you can. If not makes sure everything is clear and be prepared for things to fall through or backtrack and require renegotiating.
Venus
Venus is in Sagittarius from November 30th to December 24th. We are romantic truth seekers. We explore what is different in terms of belief through the lens of relationships. Someone different, in terms of background, beliefs or country of origin, can be very alluring now.
Venus then ingresses into Capricorn the 24th, joining the Sun and Mars. This is focus, intensity and diplomacy all in the same area of your life. Time to go for it.
Mars
Mars ingresses into Capricorn on the 15th, preceding the Sun by a week, and stays 6 weeks so there is high energy, and assertiveness. We are getting things. It is always good to know where Mars is in our chart.
Mars is our drive, but also our ego, so it’s not hard to feel attacked or offended. Just be careful about reacting impulsively to a perceived slight. Mars is also competitive, so if you need to get ahead, this is good energy.
Uranus
Uranus returned to Taurus on November 7th to stay until April 25th of 2026. This is one area of your life that has been all shook up, as Elvis sang, since 2017. This is my sign. I created a website, started a blog, wrote a book (unpublished, but still…). I started a YouTube channel. I retired from my job. Talk about breaking away!
That one area of your life that has seen a lot of upheaval and a definite desire for freedom is going to get more of the same, one last time. Uranus is intent on setting you free before leaving for 84 years.
Neptune
Neptune stations direct on the 10th, but hovers at 29 degrees, the anarectic degree, of Pisces, really wrapping it up. This is compassion, spirituality, also illusion and confusion. What we are seeing is not really real. Pisces is about the collective, and Neptune is at home there, in their blur of Piscean waters. The words ‘collective hallucination’ come to mind.
Neptune wants to show us that this reality isn’t. If Uranus breakdown or through Saturn’s structure, Neptune then comes along and completely dissolves it. Blurs the lines. It’ll become clear in 2026 when the Neptune retrograde in Pisces cycle wraps up for good, at the end of March 2026. I’ve speculated that when Neptune leaves Pisces, this may mark the end of the influencer. With AI we see everything as unreal, and need proof it isn’t. I’m old enough to remember when it was the opposite. You took for granted that what you were being shown was true.
Into 2026
I always say I don’t do scary astrology. No shock or fear tactics to get you to watch or read. But as we see Neptune shift into Aries and Uranus into Gemini, I believe we need to keep our wits about us. Things are going faster, more information, more created reality. It’s a lot to sift through. In fact it’s too much. Our human brains have been surpassed for a while now. So use discernment, listen to your intuition and just tune out when it’s too much. Go outside, there’s a whole other world-real- out there.
I wish you all good things in 2026. Don’t forget to write down what you want to see happen in the coming year. With Uranus back in my sign, I am being urged to talk more of what I’ve blogged about here. So stay tuned and be well.
