February Astrology

Pardon the delay, the astrology for all signs for the month of February has been up on my YouTube since late January. In fact, I post the monthly astrology for each sign towards the end of the preceding month, every month.

Let the Retrograde Games Begin!

The personal planets are in retrograde, or shadow or about to enter retrograde. That’s Mercury, Venus and Mars. These planets transit almost all the houses every year. The interpersonal planets have longer cycles, Jupiter takes 12 years to complete one cycle around the chart, and Saturn about 29 1/2. So their presence in an area or our life is rarer, and we have to know where it is to make the most of it. Then they’re gone for a long time.

The outer planets are slower and mark eras and generations. Sometimes we won’t even experience that planet in all 12 houses, like Pluto or Neptune. Even Uranus takes 84 years to visit all 12 signs.

This feels like a preparatory phase (I had a typo/auto-correct and it was predatory phase…now I wonder), or a test, before this bigger shifts of Neptune, Saturn and Uranus in 2025 and 2026. We are learning to remain grounded, solid within our self-identity and beliefs as these major shifts arrive in 2026.

The Venus and Mercury retrogrades are in Aries, a sign very concerned about self-identity and initiating, starting things. Aries relates to the 1st house of appearance, the head, face and physical appearance. Side note I feel Neptune moving into Aries will mean the end of the influencers, the idea of collective illusion.

A check-up of what’s happening with each of us, personally, before we see some major changes with the heavy hitters (as I like to call them) moving into signs they have not visited in the last 84 (Uranus), 165 (Neptune) and 248 (Pluto) years.

This doesn’t mean we’re inflexible, but it means not becoming anxious and disoriented. Knowing what’s important to us and what isn’t and what we are about. More and more I feel that discernment is the key word. And of course, know thyself.

Mars

Mars is still in post-retrograde shadow until May, although going direct on February 23rd. Probably the toughest of the retrogrades, because of the potential for conflict. I talk about how that has been playing out in the collective and what it means for all of us in a video here.

Because Mars has been going so slowly, slowing down to retrograde, the picking up speed again moving backwards, and then again slowing to go direct, he will spend an abnormal amount of time at the same degrees. Mars sits for 27 days at 17 degrees of Cancer, February 12th to March 8th. If you have anything at this degree it’s being aspected by Mars for all that time.

Venus

Venus is in pre-retrograde shadow, going retrograde March 1st in Aries and continuing in Pisces. I just put out a video on what part of the chart that’s taking place in for each sign. Venus retrograde will review all our relationships (some won’t make the cut), also our money and resources and our relationship to those. It’s Should I stay or should I go, as the Clash sang.

Like Mars, because of this slowing down action, Venus will spend 16 days at 10 degrees Aries. If you have anything at this degree in your chart, it will be aspected by Venus for this whole time.

Mercury

Mercury will retrograde in the middle of the Venus retrograde, in the same sign of Aries. A review of relationships and confused communications, in the same part of the chart. What a test!

Moon

Don’t forget the Full Moon on the 12th in Leo, opposed the Sun in Aquarius and Square to Uranus in Taurus. The Sun is also square to Uranus, making this a T-square, an aspect of tension. The outlet will be unpredictable Uranus! Something will come up suddenly: a disruption or a sudden break. That’s Uranus’ need to break free from too much structure and restrictions.

Don’t forget to watch the videos, as they cover the sign by sign. Take care,
