The Astrology of March 2025
March 2025 Astrology shows us the most chaotic month of the year. Mars is still very slow, despite having stationed direct on February 23rd. There’s a Venus retrograde with a Mercury retrograde in the middle, in March and April. Neptune ingresses into Aries for the 1st time in 165 years. And there’s a round of eclipses! The detailed forecast for each sign are of course up on my YouTube channel.

Sun
The Sun is in Pisces until the 20th then moves to Aries. The shift of focus is marked. Not only is this from one sign and one house to another, but we are leaving Pisces, last sign of the chart to Aries, the first.
Pisces is an ‘all is one’ energy where we are the most opened to the collective. There is sameness and dissolution of the ego in Pisces. Aries is individualistic and concerned with self-identity: who am I and what am I doing.
The Sun brings light, energy and focus as it lights up this area of the chart. At the same time Venus and Mercury Retrograde, passing the Sun on they way back to Pisces cause confused communications and changing our minds while at the same time reviewing relationships.
On a better note, this is the start of the astrological new year as the Sun begins the circle again. So if you’ve been lagging and resolutions aren’t working, especially with Mars Retrograde, set or reset resolutions for 2025 on March 20th at 5:01 a.m. Eastern Time.
Mercury
Mercury moves into in Aries on the 3rd, but is already in pre-retrograde shadow on the 1st. The Retrograde itself is March 15th to April 7th and the cycle completes on April 26th. Mercury moves between 9 degrees of Aries and 26 degrees of Pisces 26.
Mercury Retrogrades are not the time to travel. Buying ground transportation, such as a car or bike, as well as communication/tech devices is discouraged. Confirm appointments and meetings and forego launching anything new during this time.
This is the time to review projects, do research, work behind the scenes and complete this tasks you haven’t got around to. Don’t sign off on something or come to an agreement as it will only change again, and then maybe again, until the cycle is complete.
Venus
Venus stations retrograde March 1st, the same day Mercury enters pre-retrograde shadow. This brings a review of relationships, measuring how fair they are. Venus is also money and beauty. Luxury buys are not advised. Cosmetic procedures should be avoided, especially if they are something we have never had done or are a big change.
There’s a cliché that Venus retrograde is past lovers returning. You may see someone coming back into the picture, but it can be just between you and yourself. How you do relationships? What role do you take on? How much do you put in measured against how much you get out of it?
Venus retrograde moves between Aries and Pisces. My video explains Venus energy and the area of life for each sign. The dates are March 1st to April 12th. Venus moves between 10 degrees of Aries and 24 degrees of Pisces, moving in to Pisces on March 27th. The cycle completes May 18th, 2025.
Mars
Mars has been direct since February 23rd but is very slow in picking up speed. He will remain in Cancer until April 18th and the whole retrograde cycle is not over until May 1st.
We still feel the energy lag and things are not going fast enough. Our ego is still easily miffed and making us over-reactive. We can feel frustrated and prone to arguments. But each day gets better; we are moving forward. Just be patient.
Eclipses
The Full Moon eclipse is on the 14th at 23 degrees of Virgo. This is hidden endings (or beginnings inevitably) taking place in shadow. The March Astrology video tells you where this is happening for you.
The New Moon eclipse is on the 29th 23 degrees of Aries. Something coming into being, even if it does not seem so. The seeds are sown but in darkness. As all eclipses, this is a fated event that has long lasting repercussions.
Neptune
Neptune ingresses into Aries on March 30th at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time for the 1st time in 165 years. I did a first video here and plan more. Neptune in Aries can bring an ideals we strongly identify with and we are not hesitating to take action.
March: Take notes!
I’ve been repeating in the videos to journal, review, reflect. The retrograde energy certainly does not lend itself to starting something. And the eclipses bring a blind spot, a poor time to make decisions. Neptune will certainly make a statement arriving in Aries.
