May 2026 Astrology
My astrology is up on my YouTube, for all signs. We see the Sun and Mercury, leaving Taurus and moving into Gemini, on the 20th and 17th respectively. Venus will skip ahead a little bit into Cancer on the 18th and on the same day Mars takes up residence in Taurus for 6 weeks.
But the interesting thing is a second full moon at the end of the month on the 31st. This is in the sign of Sagittarius. A second full moon in the same month is called a blue moon hence the expression Once in a blue moon. It’s a hyped up full moon. Definitely not the time to make decisions or choices, but the time to sit back and watch what is going on and let our intuition speak to us. The moon is our emotions and intuition. So we can be over emotional, hence the advice of not acting on what we feel, but also extremely intuitive.
For all of us, Sagittarius sits in the ninth house. This is our life outlook, our take on why we’re all here. It’s about the greater truths in relation to our existence. Not surprisingly it’s higher education, mass media communication, long distance, travel, and whatever is foreign or different. It’s also propaganda and religion. Things that shape our life outlook.
Uranus in Gemini 2026-2033
May also marks the first full month of Uranus in Gemini, there for good until 2033 when he will begin his forward and backward dance into Cancer. Uranus made a first dip into Gemini between July 7th and November 7th of 2025. I have two videos on Uranus in Gemini, a transit that always marks a communication revolution.
What is Gemini
Gemini is mutable air. Like all air signs there’s a duality. All air signs are sociable. Gemini has a strong interest, and ability, to communicate. There’s a lot of mind work, ideas and concepts. But Gemini is the fastest of all of air signs. Ruled by Mercury, Gemini is curious and likes to explore ideas, ask questions and discuss. Gemini is often off to the next topic while everybody is still thinking aobut the previous one. Gemini gets the bad rap of being flighty, changing their mind and (the worst) 2-faced. But it’s just that Gemini has explored the question or issue and is now on to the next thing. Gemini is the fastest thinker of the zodiac. The downside is Gemini gets caught up in the details and factoids and never strings it all together into something coherent.
What is Uranus
Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius, another air sign. So he will fly in Gemini, unlike his years in Taurus who is fixed earth. It’s hard to get the bull going. There’s a lot of stability and grounded in the physical plane energy. Unlike Gemini, Taurus is not really about the latest thing and jumping on the bandwagon. Gemini will run off on the spur of the moment to an impromptu event and Taurus will stay home and mind the shop.
Uranus will find his true expression in Gemini. Uranus is all about breaking away, rebelling, freedom, inventiveness, and new concepts. Technological advancements, things that have never been seen before. As mentioned above, Gemini can remain in the details, so the downside may be a lot of novelty but never really going anywhere with it.
But Uranus is the great disruptor. I always say Uranus functions in fits and starts, usually when being aspected by another planet. It is something unforeseen, out of the blue, that really shakes us up. think the Tower card in Tarot. Uranus rules electricity and things are definitely shocking.
Sometimes it can be self initiated, I’m done with all this! Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere. But Uranus’s goal is for us to evolve, to get out of the rut, and to move up to the next level.
There’s also a duality to Gemini, the idea of this or that. One or the other. We can already see that with the advancement of AI. More and more we have to question if images are real or generated. Is this a real person in this video or an AI generated image? Did this really happen or was it AI.
There will be major technological advances that will bring fast and deep change. Since I am not particularly technologically proficient and because Uranus is so far out there, it’s things I (and most of us) can’t predict. Astrologers just say Expect the unexpected. So I will just leave it at that.
Uranus in Gemini in History
There are many significant past manifestations of Uranus in Gemini, it’s in the videos. However, the last time was 1941 to 1949 and WWII was underway. Propaganda, especially under the Nazis, became an important tool. Hitler had a minister of propaganda. One of the interesting things Joseph Goebbels did was to order cheap, mass made radios. The idea was that every German could have one in their home. It was a rudimentary affair and didn’t pick up many stations. In fact there weren’t even numbers on the dial. The goal wasn’t that Germans could listen to music or radio programs and divert themselves during the dark war years, but rather that Nazi propaganda could find its way into every single home.
Other markers during a Uranus in Gemini period include the Guttenberg printing press. There were printing presses, but Guttenberg’s invention, with it’s moving parts, allowed mass printing. Today it may seem quaint and slow. You had to line up all those little letters for each word of each page. It was hand operated. But in the 1400s, every single copy of anything was a handwritten copy or with a hand press. Now books could be printed by the hundreds, leaflets and pamphlets mass produced and their message distributed widely. Often it was a political critique that could easily be consired treason. If you’re an Outlander fan, Jamie is in the printing business when Claire returns to the past. Not always a safe occupation. Gemini communication meets Uranus rebellion.
Uranus – Pluto Trine and Sextiles to Neptune
This ingress of Uranus into Gemini on April 25th, 2026 also marked the last ingress of the outer planets into new sings. This will shift only in 7 years when Uranus begins his exit. Pluto sits in Aquarius and Neptune is an Aries.
The trine between Uranus and Pluto, means an easy, flowing energy. Pluto is still at the 1st degrees of Aquarius so the trine is almost exact. The two of them are sextile Neptune, another flowing energy that requires a little bit of work.
We’re now in that strong air and fire energy that I keep talking about in my videos. We’ve left earth and water. Things will go faster, air and fire are combustive. I have several videos, I think 8 now, on Neptune in Aries. We are looking at energies of power and control and power to the people with Pluto, shocking inventions in communications with Uranus, and charismatic, almost spiritual leaders (who may not always be who they seem) with Neptune and Aries. There’s things to know with all of these.
Discernment
My word of the year for 2026, and even 2025 has been discernment. Our attention is a precious commodity, not just for us, but for those who are trying to get it. Whatever I see or read, I question myself: Is this really serving me? Am I getting something useful out of it? Beware videos and posts that provoke emotions like anger or frustration or sadness and just keep us coming back for that hit. So many apps are designed to draw our attention and hold it there with things that are of no use to us. I’ve set a timer on the app I scroll, the other one too but I try to stay away from it. Otherwise it’s like falling into a vortex. I used to think my grown adult brain could handle it, but alas, more powerful forces are at work. The design is sublime.
