March 2024 Astrology
My March 2024 astrology for all signs is up on my YouTube channel. There is an intense Pisces vibe in March. Neptune and Saturn have been there for 12 and 1 year respectively. The Sun arrived along with Mercury towards the end of February. There is a New Moon on the 10th, with Venus arriving the following day and Mars on the 22nd. That’s at least 4 planets at all times in the sign of the fish. We’re going to be feeling more dreamy, intuitive, floating between 2 worlds. Maybe you’ll want to be alone with your thoughts more. Tuning out to tune in.
Concentration of Energy
Along with the Pisces energy, there is a general grouping of planets from Aquarius to Taurus: last 2 signs of the zodiac and the first 2. The 2 most open to the collective, with an ‘we’re all the same, we’re all one’ outlook and the 2 most self focused: ‘who am I and what do I have?’. The signs open more to the collective as we progress around the chart. Remember there’s no good or bad in astrology. But the signs alternate with a different energy that balances them, and Pisces to Aries is the most remarkable shift to me. I have a video on that that you can find here. Things will stay that way May when the Sun and Jupiter ingress into Gemini.
Mercury
Mercury moves into Aries on the 10th. Our thoughts and words are more self-focused and more direct in Aries. We will say what we feel or want. Aries is cardinal fire, the most self-initiating. and self-directed. Mercury is communication, ideas and concepts. Take note the first Mercury Retrograde of 2024 takes place in April but we are in pre-retrograde shadow beginning March 19th.
Sun
The Sun spends a little more than half the month in Pisces, having arrived February 18th and leaving for Aries March 19th. Pisces is a sign about compassion and melding into the collective. It is dissolving separation and seeing everyone as the same, as relatable. We’re all floating together in the ocean of existence (that’s a very Pisces style statement, if I do say so myself). We are definitely feeling more dreamy and intuitive. Especially when the Sun conjuncts Neptune from the 15th to the 19th. Neptune is also in Pisces and is the modern ruler. Amp up the tune out, zone out, tap into that other worldly place when you get intuitive downloads. This is the time to dream about what can be. What is in our good and the greater good. When the Sun arrives in Aries on March 19th, we may definitely start putting into action what we reflected on with the Sun, New Moon and Mercury in Pisces.
New Moon in Pisces
A New Moon can be a turning point, a resolution to put something into place or change a way of doing or being. There’s been a lot of Neptune-Saturn in Pisces energy. One dissolving boundaries, the other trying to (Saturn struggles in watery, flowing Pisces) to instill them.
The Moon rules another water sign: Cancer and is our emotions. It also relates to intuition. Take time to visualize, just stare off into space and imagine. If you are manifesting, remeber to reflect on how this is not only going to benefit you but others as well. Maybe this is a choice between Neptune’s urge to be compassionate and where you have to think of yourself and put up a limit. Venus
Venus arrives in Pisces on March 11th. If Neptune is at home is Pisces, Venus is exalted. She is at her most wonderful Venusian self, treated like an honored guest. The only challenge is a conjunction to Saturn from the 19th to the 24th. This can make us feel lonely and isolated. Venus feels cut off by Saturn’s boundaries. Remember, Saturn the planet is ringed in ice walls. There is a sternness about Saturn. A practical, even cold, harsh look at money and relationships. We might be really picking at the details. Maybe too much. Or maybe it’s a wake up call, curbing Venus’ tendency to be over accommodating in order to maintain the relationship. By same token, people are drawn to us because we have that constructive, realistic energy!
Romance begun with Venus conjunct Saturn is very practical and has an eye on how this can grow and be successful. Saturn is very much grounded in reality. Is this good for me? Materially? Emotionally? There is no romanticizing here!
Depending on house, Venus can have a real urge to spend money on luxurious items. With Saturn there is little or no spending and it must be reasonable, usually an investment. Saturn likes when things pay off over time. That’s why he makes us work hard.
Mars
Aries’ ruler is in Aquarius until the last week of March, arriving in Pisces on the 22nd in the middle of the Saturn-Venus conjunction. Resist the urge to take action on what you are feeling. Mars wants tot do something about it, but wait until the energy of the conjunction has passed and see how you feel .
Mars picks up the pace in whatever house he is in. He makes us energetic, confident and assertive. So it’s always good to know where we have this boost.
Jupiter
Jupiter continues in Taurus and is picking up speed. He covered less than the 1st decan in 2023 and is now going to travel the rest of Taurus and leave for Gemini by May. Before this he will conjunct Uranus on April 21st, a once every 14 years event. Even rarer in Taurus, the last being in 1941. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra
This is on the 25th at 3:13 am EDT at 5 degrees of Libra, as the eclipses follow the nodes that are now on the Aries Libra axis and occur around the equinoxes. If you want details, when it begins and if you can see it (in America you can) I’m linking my favorite astronomy site EarthSky.
Astrologically, eclipses are times of powerful change, an ending or beginning or usually both as one often brings the other. This change is happening in the shadows. The wheels are set in motion in the background. Things are happening in darkness. Because we can’t see the whole picture, it is ill advised to make choices. Libra relates to the 7th of partnerships but is also about justice and balance. Man made justice but also the equilibrium of the universe. Consequences to actions.
In Libra it could be an injustice covered up, in order to keep the balance. Everything looks fine but it isn’t. Nothing is at it seems. Remember don’t make decisions or be corralled into choices. You don’t have all the information. Don’t be fooled by the front story, the real event is happening in the background. Expect the Energy to increase the week before, intense the week of and decrease the week after.
You may try looking back a month, or seeing what comes up one month after for clues. Or at the last eclipses in the fall of 2023. Or even back 19-20 years to when the nodes were at the same place. There is a solar eclipse at the beginning of April in Aries.
