June Astrology
June 2026 astrology is up on my channel, for all signs. This month brings us a Mercury Retrograde. Ugh! In the middle of summer vacation. Bummer, because Mercury retrograde affects travel, ground transportation and of course all our communications and tech devices.
Also at the end of the month, Jupiter moves into Leo. A once in 12 year occurrence as Jupiter spends 1 year in each sign. If your age is nearing a multiple of 12 (24, 36, 48, 60, etc.) you are close to your Jupiter return.
Sun
The Sun is in Gemini to the 21st. Our focus is on our daily faces and places. Short trips, siblings, neighbours and communicating. We’re all chatty and social. Makes sense, as it’s a summer vibe. Maybe getting together with siblings who are visiting, or vice versa. Hanging out at a neighbourhood barbecue. It’s the time of little getaways. But check your transportation, departures and tickets because of the retrograde.
Then it’s into Cancer. And we are turning our attention to home and family. Again, summer vacation visits or maybe renovations. Perhaps you are, like so many people, moving this summer and changing homes. We are all more likely to be relaxing and enjoying being at home. On a collective level, this can be patriotism and pride in where we are from. It’s is a time, in North America, of celebrating our countries. July 1st is Canada’s birthday and the 4th is the USA’s. Both countries are Cancer Suns. Land of the motherly embrace, secure and nurturing. It is a figure of a woman, the Statue of Liberty, that welcomes newcomers. Below it, engraved on the pedestal, Emma Lazarus’ sonnet from which we get the famous line Give me your tired, your poor, your huddles masses yearning to breathe free…
Mercury
Mercury arrives in Cancer on the 1st and will retrograde in this sign. Here’s the dates. The retrograde begins June 30th at 26 degrees of Cancer and ends July 23rd at 16 degrees of Cancer. But remember the shadow period beginning June 13th and lasting until August 7th. The closer within these periods we are to the retrograde, the more likely mix-ups will continue. I always take into account the shadow and I hold off on buying ground transportation, tech devices (they have their own language and communicate with us) and expect all agreements, contracts and deals to change up. I also don’t begin anything but do use this time for research and working behind the scenes preparing.
The whole retrograde is in Cancer and the 4th house. This is home and family. Our safe, private place where we shut the door on the world. The retrograde can means a family member can come back or you may hear about them again. It can be a family dynamic or situation. Not this again!
The 4th is also the paternal figure and paternal traditions. You may find this is being imposed again or you are the one doing something ‘typical’ of your family. This is the way we so this in this family. It can be a moving project coming back on the table or a renovating or redecorating idea. Just m Mercury rules contracts so it is a good idea to wait until the whole cycle is complete before hiring someone.
Moon
There’s a new Moon on the 14th, at 24 degrees of Gemini. Time to set an intention related to Gemini and the 3rd house, as I described above. Maybe you have a writing project or want to do speaking engagements. It can be learning a new language or doing something online. Again just s tick to the preparation, as launching during a retrograde is not a good idea. Maybe you want to see something happen (or stop!) in relation to siblings or a neighbour.
The Moon is full on the 29th at 8 degrees of Capricorn. We are going to feel the need to balance home and family. Our safe, secure home base with where we are out in the world making our mark. Sometimes vacation is too good and it’s hard to get back into it. Maybe this time off has made you realize there is something you no longer want to do. The Full Moon can mark an ending.
Venus
Venus will be in Leo on the 13th for about 3 weeks. Turn up the glam! Venus likes nice things, Leo loves luxury. You’ll socialize more and it’ll be upscale. A fancy restaurant, a posh hotel stay. Even casual at home get-togethers have Leo pizzazz. Leo is of the 5th house, so it is all about romance, creative pursuits, the children or next generation in your life. It’s also just having fun and doing something entertaining.
Mars
Mars wraps up 6 weeks in Taurus. Watch the video to see which house this is for you. But overall Mars is energy and drive to make more money. Whether that’s putting in more hours, a side gig or actively cutting spending somewhere. Mars represents our ego and in Taurus, in the 2nd house, we really identify with what we have. But we aren’t what we own. It’s important to remember that.
Jupiter
Jupiter is the greater benefic in astrology. He brings blessings, solutions, opportunities and just lucky breaks. But Jupiter is also expansion. He wants us to grow and evolve.
So often Jupiter gets reduced (my pet peeve is planets reduce to a couple of key words) to Lucky Jupiter. Yes it can be, but it is also a call to learn. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and the 9th house. Whatever expands our life outlook.
On the 30th he moves into Leo for 1 year. Whatever house this is for you, look for advances, benefits, solutions. Jupiter is also learning and evolving. You may change your way of seeing things in an area of your life.
